Bio

I am the husband of an amazing wife, a father of 6 wonderful children ranging from young adults to a baby in diapers and I love my life. I grew up in a large family, so naturally, a large family was a bit of a destiny. Professionally, I work as an education specialist in an autism program and have spent many years working with children with severe behavior challenges. I graduated from Fresno Pacific University with a master's degree in special education and my master’s thesis focus was on how viewing your job as a ministry impacts teaching practices. This is my professional life working with children, but home life was no stranger to chaos. My oldest daughter was medically fragile and missed tons of school, so she had an IEP (individualized education plan). My first son developed a stutter from the trauma of watching his sister have a heart attack and is dyslexic, so he has an IEP. My second son had a breath holding and seizure disorder and has severe ADHD and he is a ball of constant energy and also has an IEP.  All this to say, I now have a unique perspective in the world of childhood development, behavior, psychology and trauma as a parent and education specialist. I have been graced with being a parent in an IEP meeting and a teacher/advocate running one and this has provided me with a wealth of information to share with the world.
